ABSTRACT
Objective@#To investigate the changes of brain activity in adolescents with first-episode major depressive disorder (MDD) and its significance.@*Methods@#Totally 42 first-episode MDD patients with suicidal ideation (SU group), 17 MDD patients without suicidal ideation (NSU group) and 29 healthy controls (HC group) were examined by psychological assessment and resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The differences of brain functional activities between the three groups were compared by amplitude of low frequency fluctuation(ALFF). The relationship between the difference of zALFF value in brain regions and the severity of depression, intensity of suicidal ideation were further analyzed.@*Results@#The zALFF values in the left hippocampus(MNI: x=-21, y=-33, z=0) and left Frontal_Sup_Medial(MNI: x=3, y=33, z=63) of the three groups were significantly abnormal (P<0.001, k>20, uncorrected). The results of Post-hoc test showed that the zALFF value of left hippocampus increased significantly (F=28.931) and decreased significantly in left Frontal_Sup_Medial(F=16.648)in SU group , compared with NSU group and HC group(P<0.001, Bonferroni correction). There was no significant difference in zALFF value between HC group and NSU group(P>0.05). In SU group, the zALFF values of left hippocampus and left Frontal_Sup_Medial were not correlated with total scores of HAMD-24(r=-0.214, -0.103) and suicide ideation intensity factor scores(r=0.115, -0.055)(P>0.05).@*Conclusion@#Abnormal autonomic nervous activity exists in left hippocampus and left Frontal_Sup_Medial in adolescent MDD patients with suicidal ideation, which may be the neurological basis and biological index of suicidal ideation.
ABSTRACT
Objective: To compare the effects of surgical and conservative therapy in the treatment of orbital blow-out fracture. Methods: 90 cases of obital blow-out fracture were treated by surgical(n = 40) and conservative(n = 50) trerapy respectively, the patients were fllowed up for 12 months. The treatment outcome was retrospectively analysed. Results: Of the 40 patients managed surgically 39 were with complete follow up data, 19 had diplopia in peripheral gaze before surgery, 13 (33％) had at 3-month and 12 (31％) had at 6-month follow-up. 31 had enophthalmus before surgery and 3(8％) had at 3-month and 6-month follow-up. Of the 50 patients managed conservatively 26 were with complete follow-up data, 11 had diplopia in peripheral gaze initially, 9(35％) had at 3-month and 8(31％) had at 6-month follow-up. 15 had enophthalmus initially and 13(50％) had at 3-month and 6-month followup. Conclusion: Surgical therapy is more effective for the treatment of enophthalmus. The effects tend to be stable 3 months after treatment, the ratio of diplopia in peripheral gaze after treatment by the 2 treatments is similar(about 30％ of the total cases).
ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the value of plasma miR-22 in diagnosis of idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension ( IPAH ),and its role of regulation mechanisms in the pathogenesis of the disease.Methods Circulating miR-22 levels of IPAH patients and healthy controls were evaluated by RTPCR.The silico analysis of targets for miR-22 was taken, and followed by eGFP reporter assay for verification of predicted target gene Myc binding protein (MYCBP). Results Compared with healthy controls,the expression of plasma miR-22 in IPAH patients was significantly decreased (P ＜ 0.01 ).The area under curve (AUC) of ROC curve was 0.744.MYCBP was a real target of miR-22 confirmed by silico analysis and eGFP reporter assay. Conclusions The expression of plasma miR-22 was significantly decreased in IPAH patients,and it could serve as a potential biomarker for diagnosis.The miR-22 might be involved in the pathogenesis of the disease through promoting its target gene MYCBP to activate the c-Myc pathway.

The morphologic changes of human hepatocaranoma transplanted in nude mice afler photodynamic therapy (PDT) with sulfonated aluminum phthalocyanine (ALSPQ were studied The cancer cells after PDT with ALSPC showad vacuolar degeneration and separation from each other. The endothelium of blood vessel was damaged and hemorrhage occured Under electron microscope the endoplasmic reticulum enlarged, mitochondria swelled, perinudear space dilated, and chromosome aggregated and condensed. The membrane of nuclei and cells broke off and tumor cells died at last The endothdial cells had the same changes mentioned above. This result suggests that ALSPC has photodynamic effect on the human hepatocellular carcinoma tranaplanted in nude mice. And the membrane system of cells is probably the main target.
